Research at ENTPE looks at territorial, urban, construction and transport systems and the factors composing them: buildings and infrastructure, including their social determinants and their relationship with the environment.
It has developed a multi-disciplinary approach in 3 key fields:
- Civil engineering, engineering and system science;
- Space, territories, societies: spatial planning, geography, sociology, economics and political science;
- Science and engineering of/for the environment: geosciences, hydrology, biology and biochemistry, ecotoxicology and ecology.
Scientific production, influence and attractiveness, interactions with stakeholders in society, commitment to training: these are the 4 key principles driving researchers at the School within their laboratories.
